Privacy Policy
Last updated: April 2026
Flux (“we”, “our”, or “us”) provides AI-powered prompt refinement through the Flux website and Chrome extension. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, how we store it, and the choices you have when using Flux. Chrome requires extensions that collect or handle user data to provide a privacy policy, especially where website content or stored user data is involved.
Information We Collect
When you use Flux, we may collect:
- Account information, such as your name, email address, and profile photo, when you sign in using Google.
- Prompt content, including the original text you submit or select for refinement and the refined output generated by Flux.
- Prompt history and related metadata, such as timestamps and records associated with your account so you can view prior prompts in history.
- Extension interaction data, such as selected text from textareas, inputs, or editable fields, but only when you actively invoke Flux on a page.
- Technical information, such as basic logs, temporary state, and settings needed to operate, secure, and troubleshoot Flux.
How We Use Information
We use this information to:
- authenticate your account and determine whether you are signed in to Flux,
- analyze and refine prompts using Flux's prompt engineering workflow,
- store and display your prompt history,
- enable extension features such as refining selected text and inserting the refined output back into a field,
- improve product reliability, security, and troubleshooting.
How the Extension Accesses Page Content
The Flux extension reads selected text or prompt input from the active webpage only when you use the extension feature. It does not collect page content for unrelated purposes.
Data Storage
Flux may store account information, original prompts, refined prompts, and related history data in secure infrastructure, including hosted database services, so users can access their history across sessions. Some temporary data or preferences may also be stored locally using browser or extension storage.
Sharing and Third Parties
We do not sell your personal data or prompt data. We may share data only with service providers necessary to operate Flux, such as authentication providers, hosting and database providers, and AI processing providers used to generate refined prompts.
Data Retention
We retain data for as long as needed to provide Flux, maintain account functionality, preserve user history, comply with legal obligations, and resolve disputes. If you request deletion of your data, we will make reasonable efforts to delete it subject to legal and technical requirements.
Your Choices
You control when to use the extension on a page. If you do not want Flux to process specific text, do not submit or select that text for refinement. You may also contact us to request deletion of your account data or stored prompt history.
Security
We use reasonable measures to protect information in transit and at rest. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. Chrome also requires secure handling of user data as part of extension review expectations.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will revise the “Last updated” date on this page. Continued use of Flux after changes become effective means you accept the updated policy.
